Eclat- Xpressive Ceramics was a Ceramics Victoria members exhibition held in the Yarra Sculpture Gallery. I exhibited three of the elements from “Falling to Earth” each balanced on a base: Caught 1, Caught 2 and Caught 3!

A baby cradled in a coolamon falls to earth, down from the Milky Way dancing ground. Crashing. Gosses Bluff (Tnorula) is formed.

This time the baby is caught – held safe.

The land is ancient. Its surfaces are desert polished. Does the land create the story – or the stories create the land? And what is inside?
These pieces are offered as part of how I hear this story, and how I experience this place.
