Newstead Open Studios is a local groups of artists who open their studios as an ‘art trail’ every year as part as either the Castlemaine State Festival or Arts Open – each happens in the alternative years.

Its a wonderful chance to be part of a network of artist friends across this local area and offer open studios for the second time – this time as part of Arts Open 2016 – a major Castlemaine and district event that alternates with the biennial Castlemaine State Festival.

And this time with our own website too – a small contribution to building arts futures locally.

Each year, I have shared my studio with someone else – this year it was Maritsa Gronda – a wonderful Newstead friend and a great artist.
