Newstead Open Studios 2017

In 2017 -18-19 & 25-26 March – nine artists and studios created a trail stretching from Walmer to Strangways, and of course Newstead and Green Gully. At Place Matters, Sally Roadknight joined me for a delightful two weekends, sitting under a shady brolly, watching Sally stitch a basket and enjoying the 70 or so people who came to look at and talk about our work.

As well as baskets, Sally exhibited some beautiful drawings – feathers, nests and birds.

I add some stoneware this year, using clay I’d had in storage for a long while. And my experiments with clay pendants and buttons resulted in some interesting pieces.
